A Little History


Eileen launched her line in 1984 with a single size: 1. A few years later, she added 2 then 0. In Fall 1992, the company began to shift to S, M and L. Slowly, the letters replaced the numbers. When we made our first skinny jean in 2009, we added traditional numeric sizing to the mix. Today, EILEEN FISHER offers a full size range that includes XXS-XL and numerically sized pants, as well as Petite and Plus collections.

  • Subtly curved through the leg, slightly tapered at the ankle. Fits the body with ease.
  • Felted for structure, lightweight wool jersey that's soft and luxurious. This wool is grown using regenerative farming practices that promote soil health, biodiversity, water quality and emissions removal—and also support the communities where the wool is produced.
  • 1 1/2-inch elastic waistband, 1-inch pleats.
  • Side panel detail, on-seam pockets.
  • 12-inch rise; 27 1/2-inch inseam; 7-inch leg opening (size XS). 12-inch rise; 25 1/2-inch inseam; 7-inch leg opening (size PS). 14-inch rise; 27 1/2-inch inseam; 8-inch leg opening (size 1X).
