A Little History


Eileen launched her line in 1984 with a single size: 1. A few years later, she added 2 then 0. In Fall 1992, the company began to shift to S, M and L. Slowly, the letters replaced the numbers. When we made our first skinny jean in 2009, we added traditional numeric sizing to the mix. Today, EILEEN FISHER offers a full size range that includes XXS-XL and numerically sized pants, as well as Petite and Plus collections.

  • The organic cotton that first brought us to Peru. With softness we haven't been able to find anywhere else. Spun with sustainableTencel™ Lyocell for subtle sheen. Fair trade knitting means higher wages and investments in local communities.
  • Organic farming supports clean water and healthy soil. Tencel™ Lyocell fiber is made from responsibly harvested trees. Knit in analternative supply chain designed around community-based workshops in Arequipa, Peru.
  • We design our line as a system of simple shapes and signature fits so you can easily find the options that work for you.
  • 1-inch drawstring waist with rib trim.
  • 1-inch drawstring waist with rib trim. Finely finished with a jersey roll hem.
  • We recommend machine wash cold with like colors.
  • 10 1/2-inch rise; 26-inch inseam; 11-inch leg opening (size small).
